Signature Loan Review

Company Profile

Signature Loan is not a lender in and of itself, instead providing a free service that enables those in need of funds to get an offer from any of more than 20 trusted lenders. It is a convenient portal for obtaining money for all kinds of purposes, such as a relocation, vacation or home improvement expense. Signature Loan prides itself on giving you a quicker alternative source of financial help to a bank loan, also meaning that you aren't forced to ask friends or family for assistance with making ends meet. Perfect credit isn't needed, with your current income being the primary basis on which your eligibility is determined.

Service Profile

As Signature Loan is not a lender itself, it is difficult to be specific about terms - those vary depending on your state, circumstances and - of course - lender. Nonetheless, the application and approval processes are quick, the site is fully encrypted and a wide range of repayments terms is typically offered. Payments are also flexible and no collateral is usually required. This all helps to make Signature Loan the perfect one-stop source of personal loans.

Loan Features

  • Six to 60 month repayment terms
  • $1,000 to $50,000 limit
  • APR varies
  • No minimum credit score
  • Approval within minutes*
  • Funding paid within days*
  • No prepayment penalties*

Loan Application Information

It will take you just minutes to complete and submit the simple online application form, and you may be approved for a loan within just a few minutes more. Funds are generally received from your lender within one to seven business days of your loan request.

Many of those who are most in need of personal loans have a by-no-means perfect credit score, so this isn't necessary to obtain a loan through Signature Loan. The main factor in determining your eligibility is your current income, with a minimum requirement of just over $1,000 a month, after taxes. You will also need to be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have an email address, valid telephone number and checking account.

All states are catered for. The site is fully encrypted, so you can rest easy about the safety of your personal information.

Repayment Terms

Your repayment period can be as short as six months or as long as 60 months, with typical interest rates of between 25 and 150 percent. You will be expected to make a payment once or twice a month, depending on the terms of the lender or your own preferences, and your APR will depend on such factors as your past repayment history and credit score. There is no prepayment penalty - you can repay the loan in full prior to the due date, while paying only the interest rate for the period of time that the loan was outstanding.

Help and Support

There's already a lot of information on the Signature Loan website about so many aspects of its personal loans, so you hopefully won't need to make many further enquiries. There's even a 'Resource Center', complete with articles outlining how you can get more out of your money. If you need to get in touch with the site team directly, it's easy to find relevant postal and phone details, support being available from Monday to Friday. It's also possible to email the support team, sending them a message through a convenient online form.

Summary

The fact that Signature Loans is not itself the lender makes it difficult to make sweeping generalizations about the value for money that it offers. However, we were certainly impressed with the loan rates that were presented to us, and it's nice to have a site like this that is so informative and that makes searching for a competitive personal loan so quick and easy. We would certainly use the service again if we needed such a loan for all manner of purposes - after all, Signature Loan seems to have thought of everything when it comes to personal loans.
